Guest coffee: Rwanda Gisuma
June 4, 2013

Our new guest coffee is something rather special from the fantastic Caravan Coffee.  Rwanda Gisuma is a juicy, exciting coffee with vibrant notes of damson and plum and a sweet body.

This coffee is a wonderful example of a high grown Rwandan Bourbon. The combination of ideal climate and fertile volcanic soil has resulted in some outstanding coffees being produced in the region recently. Typically, independent small holders and families work together to form co-operatives and share the services of a wet mill or washing station. This coffee has come from the Gisuma washing station in the Rusizzi district in the Western Province of Rwanda and was harvested and processed between March and June.
