COVID-19 Closure Update
March 21, 2020

Following the Government’s announcement yesterday (March 20th) that all cafes, bars and restaurants must stop trading with immediate effect, Bean & Bud is now closed until further notice.

After a very difficult week, that has left our staff in limbo wondering if and when they were going to get paid in the event of a closedown, we are very pleased that the government finally moved to this position. Although we are sad that we are being forced to close our doors, in light of the current situation we feel that it is the right thing to do, and fully support this move.

At the moment we have no plans to operate as a venue for takeaways. We are going to take a few days to gather ourselves and consider all our options. If we feel the demand is there, we will look at the possibility of operating a home delivery service for our whole beans, loose-leaf tea and hot chocolate. We will make any announcements about this through this website, and also via our social media pages.

Finally, we would like to extend to you all our heartfelt thanks for your support over the past couple of weeks, since the Coronavirus threat has taken hold in the UK. We have been blown away by the kind messages, encouraging words, and general positivity that you have sent our way. We appreciate it, and will never forget it!

We have some great plans for the shop and the business going forward, and we will be using this enforced period of closure constructively. So please keep abreast of our Intagram and Facebook pages to see what we’re up to. We will be ready to open again full force, whenever that might be!

For now, we would like to wish you all the very best. These are uncertain times, for sure, so stay healthy, stay positive and we’ll see you on the other side!

Helen, Phil & the Bean & Bud team.
